Lords Chloro Alkali makes chlor-alkali chemicals: caustic soda lye, chlorine, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen gas and chlorinated paraffin wax. It runs one integrated plant at Alwar, Rajasthan, with 1,05,000 TPA of caustic soda capacity and 18,250 TPA of CPW capacity. Its FY26 revenue was Rs 390.14 Cr. Management says it holds about 20% of North India's roughly 1,600 TPD caustic soda capacity.^[1][2][3]

Business mix

Caustic soda and its products made up about 80% of revenue in Q2 FY26. Chlorine-based products, including CPW, made up the remaining ~20%.^[4]
The CPW unit turns chlorine, a by-product whose price swings, into a value-added downstream product. Its start-up widened the product range.^[3][1]

Customers and market

Customers come from paper and pulp, aluminium, textiles, chemicals, pharma, PVC, water treatment, soaps and detergents, and plastics.^[1]
Freight from West India to North India costs Rs.6,000-7,000/tonne, about 20-22% of the cost of caustic soda (Q2 FY26 call). The same freight cost limits the company's exports.^[4]
Management put its share of North India's ~1,600 TPD capacity at ~20% in Q4 FY26. It saw no new capacity from the other three northern producers for 2-2.5 years.^[3]

Expansion and capex

Total capex programme: Rs.315 crore over FY24-FY28. Phase 2, worth Rs.165 crore, is under way across FY26-FY27.^[5]
A 100 TPD caustic soda addition is planned. After the old 40 TPD UHDE plant is shut, net capacity will be 360 TPD. Commissioning is targeted around Q4 FY27.^[5]
CPW capacity is being doubled from 50 TPD to 100 TPD, a Rs.40 crore project. Commissioning is targeted by the end of FY27.^[5][6]
A 21 MW captive solar plant at Bikaner was targeted to start by June 2026. That would take captive capacity to 37 MW, plus 10 MW group captive.^[5][3]
Renewable power target: 40-45% of total power use in the short term and 80% in the medium term.^[5]
A new flaker unit for caustic soda flakes is planned.^[5]
About Rs.90 crore of extra long-term debt is to be raised to fund phase-2 capex (Q4 FY26 call).^[3]
