NMDC Steel Ltd. produces iron ore. The firm owns and operates mechanized iron ore mines in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka. The firm is producing about 35 million tons per annum (MTPA) of iron ore from its iron producing units from Bailadila Sector in Chhattisgarh and Donimalai in Bellary-Hospet region in Karnataka. The firm is also engaged in setting up a 3 million tone (MT) integrated steel plant at Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh. This plant is designed to produce hot rolled coil/ sheets/ plates.
